FUNCTIONAL ASYMMETRY OF BRAIN AND POTENTIALS P300

In neurophysiology the concept of lateralization of brain hemisphere functions is related to the existence of differences in their functioning. The aim of the research was to determine for the right-handed females whether there is a connection between the degree of lateralization of brain hemispheres and the variables of cognitive potential P300 (latency and amplitude). In 30 study participated 70 girls, age 20-23 years. In the first group where 29 strong expressed right-hand girls, in the second group 30 moderately expressed right hand girls, and in the third group 11 right-hand learned girls. The reserch workers were using the "oddball" paradigm with two tones: "standard" (90dB 1000Hz) and "expected-target" (90dB 2000Hz) for the registration of the P300 potential. The tones were binauraly presented in irregular intervals and irregular order. P300 evoked potentials were registered above Fz and Cz area. Results showed the cognitive P300 wave latency to be significantly shorter when responding with dominant hand in first group. P300 wave latency in girls from second group was a shorter with engagement of the right hand. Cognitive P300 potentials above the FZ and Cz regions àt the first group have a significantly shorter latency compared to the average latency of potentials registered in girls from second group. Cognitive P300 amplitude waves are higher above central regions independently of the hand used.

ADRENERGIC β2 AGONISTS IN THERAPY OF PATIENTS 2 WITH BRONCHIAL ASTHMA

Bronchial asthma is the syndrome, characterized with chronic inflammation, hyperreactivity and obstruction of the respiratory pathways, accompanied with consequential symptoms and remodeling of the respiratory pathways. Application of inhaled corticosteroids accompanied with appropriate education of patients, significantly improve therapeutic treatment and outcome of the asthma. But, improvement of the lung function and patients subjective state is remarkable better yif inhaled corticosteroids are combined with adrenergic â2 agonists, than if the dose of inhaled corticosteroids is increased. So, according to Global initiative for asthma and clinical results long acting adrenergic â2 agonists in combination with inhaled corticosteroids are most efficient in asthma treatment and establishment and conservation of bronchial asthma control.

FEAR OF ADOLESCENTS ADOLESCENTS FROM STOMATOLOGICAL OLOGICAL INTERVENTIONS

By this investigation an attempt has been done to explain the existence of fear in adolescents from stomatological treatment, by appraisal of fear through its two components (congenitive and physiological). Congenitive component of fear,
was followed by written questionnaire before the first stomatologic intervention (by the standard scale of general anxiety). In the investigation participated 100 adolescents. On the basis of analysis of the question mark the adolescents have been
placed into three groups: normal, pathological and increasingly anxious. During third visit (three stomatologic interventions) each patient was recived the placebo (vitamin C one half of the tablet, orally, 30 minutes before start of work of stomatology interventions which were identical, i.e. the sanitation of deep carries). Physiological component (sweating and voice) have been appraised by the method of clinical observation. All parameters were measured before all three stomatologic interventions. In this investigation, in parameters measured by clinical observation happened a diminution of strong small of sweating, trembling voice stammering in occasion of application of placebo therapy

INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL DISORDERS ON THE RECOVERY OF PATIENTS AFTER THE STROKE

The patients after the stroke besides impaired motor functions, often have cognitive and emotional disorders which
can endanger the successful carrying out of the rehabilitation treatment. The objective of this study was to estimate the
functional capability and to determine the cognitive and emotional disorders of the patients after the stroke. The research has
ecompassed 40 patients after the stroke of specified age and gender structure, treated in the Clinic for Rehabilitation, of the
Clinical Center in Novi Sad. The data have benn gathered from the anamnesis, clinical and neurological check, test of the
activity in everyday life, the findings of the psychologist on the emotinal status, as well as from the available medical
documentation about the patient. The average values of the Barthel's index are increased for 14.86% after the rehabilitation
treatment. The results show a strong presence of the emotional disorders with 57.5% of the patients. The increased values of Barthel's index and Mini Mental test at the end of the treatment show the undoubtfull importance of the rehabilitation
treatment in the recovery of the patients. The emotional disorders cause the worse recovery of the patients.

THE INFLUENCE OF FATIGUE ON THE SPEED AND PRECISENESS OF REACTION THE POPULATIONS OF RAILROAD EMPLOYEES

In this research it was examined how fatigue in the working process affected the speed of reaction on a complicated
stimulus, and also on the frequency of inadequate reactions. The investigation was carried out by means method of combine
reaction time (CRT). CRT is the shortest time that passes from the moment when a person is affected by a complicated stimulus until the moment when the person responds to the stimulus, by making adequate and complicated reaction. CRTwas registrated in working population of railroad employees who were divided in two groups:group of locomotive drivers (n= 44) and group of a railroad employees (n=25). In the group of locomotive drivers it was taken into the consideration whether the type of locomotive was electrical or diesel power. In both groups, CRT was registrated in two phases of working process; before and after daily work. Results showed that in both examined groups CRT got significantly extended after the
working process. Duration of CRT was longer before and after working process in the group of electrical power locomotive
drivers compared to diesel power locomotive drivers. Fatigue did not affect significantly on the frequency of incorrect answers
